About Chi Sigma Iota
Welcome to the Chi Sigma Iota- Zeta Pi Chapter at Rowan University! Chi Sigma Iota is an international honor society that recognizes academic and professional excellence amongst professional counselors. counselor educators, and counseling students. The society aims to promote excellence in research, scholarship, advocacy, and leadership as well as recognize high attainment and clinical excellence in the field of counseling.
About the Zeta Pi Chapter
The Zeta Pi Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota was established at Rowan University in 2010. Students who are invited to be inducted into the honor society are enrolled in the Masters in Counseling in Educational Settings program which prepares graduate students for careers in school counseling and counseling related professions at the higher education level. The executive board is comprised of a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. Activities, fundraisers and events are planned by one of Zeta Pi's four committees: Social, Community Outreach, Professional Development, and Member Relations and Recognition (formally Mentoring)-- each of which is led by either a chair or co-chairs. Admittance into the academic honor society is contingent upon completion of 9 credits and maintenance of a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
